Audrey Muriel Stratford was a business woman who ran ‘Stratfords’, a clothing store in Lynn’s Norfolk Street. Her extraordinary collection of business and personal papers is now in the King’s Lynn’s archives, and available to the public for research.
The story of her remarkable life is told in a film ‘Audrey’s Journey’ which also charts the changes and developments in Lynn that occurred during her lifetime.
Showing enormous foresight, and recognising the significance of her collection of records and papers, Audrey made provision for the establishment of the trust some ten years prior to her death in 2000.
The Trust supports the recording of the past, contemporary and developing history of King’s Lynn and offers grants towards related projects.
